Elise’s Rainbow Party

It’s no secret around here that our boss Alice Park — the creative genius behind Alice Park Photography, and the National Association of Professional Child Photographers — is a party planner extraordinaire. When Alice told us that she was planning her daughter Elise’s 3rd birthday party here at Park Studios, we knew we were in for a treat! The color-filled birthday party full of rainbows, balloon installations, and the the cutest clowns we ever did see, looks like a dream! Not to mention so much fun! We’re sure Elise’s detail-oriented, thoughtful third will inspire you, too …

Coca-Cola Scholars Creativity Camp

Hello, friends! It’s Alice. Something you may not know about me is that I serve on on the Coca-Cola Scholars Alumni Advisory Board. This year I wanted to host an inspired workshop for our inventive alumni group. With the help of a few fellow creatives a 1-day creativity camp, for an intimate group of 20 alumni, was produced with style!

Last weekend, my creative circle came together to host Creativity Camp for Coca-Cola Scholars. We shared our knowledge of the topics of photography, hand-lettering, leather craftsmanship, and improvisation. The purpose of these exercises was to take a departure from the daily grind and to explore ways of infusing creativity into our everyday life.

As adults it’s often challenging to find time to refuel that sense of wonder. Life gets busy, work and schedules consume us.

I’d love to challenge you all to take out those old coloring books this weekend. Paint. Draw. Make a mess with your kids, and don’t be afraid of slowing down time and putting those never-ending commitments on hold to just … be.

NAPCP’s New Creative Space

Park Studios is elated to be the site of the new offices of the National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP). This clean and light-filled space serves as an ideal area, free of clutter, to allow ideas to flow and flourish.

For the past decade, Alice and Kyu Park, of Alice Park Photography, NAPCP, and now Park Studios, knew they wanted a space for their creative ventures to flourish. More than that, somewhere that would encourage other artists and entrepreneurs in their businesses and crafts as well. So when they found the Buckhead property that now houses the new NAPCP office, they wasted no time.

We love that the majority of this space is dedicated to areas in which to collaborate and gather, and that there is an entire nook cleverly designed for the children and parents of NAPCP to relax and spend time together. Alice and Kyu knew they wanted a space that would work with the open concept Alice craved, and also that would reflect the value the Parks and NAPCP place on teamwork.

It is our hope that the NAPCP team will stay motivated because they love their jobs, are always experiencing new types of creativity, are learning new things, and are having fun! What a beautiful vision. Best wishes to you, NAPCP, as you move forward on this exciting, fresh path!
